Terms of Use

Effective October 27, 2026

These terms cover the peta Whisper apps for Mac and iPhone, the optional account and Cloud Sync, and this website, all provided by Zhi Ping Feng (“we”, “us”). By using them you agree to these terms.

Apps from the App Store

If you got peta Whisper from Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA) also applies to your use of the app. Where it and these terms differ, the Standard EULA governs the app itself.

The app and your providers

peta Whisper is free to download and to use with your own API key from a provider such as Soniox, Google Gemini, OpenRouter or iFlytek, and optionally a language model for Polish. Your use of those services is between you and the provider, under their terms and prices; we don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their charges, availability or handling of your data. With peta Whisper Pro we provide that model access instead.

Your account

An account is optional; Cloud Sync and Pro need one. If you create one, give accurate details, keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else has used it. You can delete your account at any time, in the apps or on your account page.

Your content

What you dictate, and what Cloud Sync stores for you, is yours. You allow us to store and transmit it only as needed to provide requested transcription, AI cleanup, word suggestions and synchronization between your devices. Our Privacy Policy explains how.

Fair use

Please don’t:

• use peta Whisper to break the law or to record other people without the consent the law requires;
• try to get into accounts or data that aren’t yours, or to disrupt Cloud Sync or this website;
• send automated or excessive requests to Cloud Sync, sign-in or word suggestions.

We may suspend an account that does these things.

Transcripts can be wrong

Speech recognition makes mistakes, and Polish can change wording. Read what was typed before you send it, and don’t rely on dictation where an error could cause harm, such as medical, legal or emergency use.

No warranty

peta Whisper, Cloud Sync and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We may change or stop any part of them, including Cloud Sync and word suggestions.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of peta Whisper. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new effective date, and continuing to use peta Whisper after that means you accept it.

peta Whisper Pro

Pro is an optional subscription. It runs dictation on the Soniox and Google Gemini models the app offers, AI cleanup and word suggestions on our accounts with those providers, so you don’t need API keys of your own, in every Mac and iPhone app signed in to your account. On this website it costs US$20 a month, billed by MCB Holdings Limited through Stripe; in the iPhone app, Apple bills it at the local price shown there. It renews each month until you cancel.

Use is unlimited, with two limits that keep it fair: after 30 hours of audio in a UTC calendar month, each request waits 15 seconds before it starts, until the count resets on the first of the next month; and one request runs at a time per account, at most 30 starting a minute, five minutes of audio each. Sharing an account, automated bulk processing and getting around these limits aren’t allowed. A provider outage can make a model unavailable for a while.

Cancel a website subscription under Manage subscription on your account page, and an App Store one in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Either way it stops renewing and Pro lasts to the end of the month you paid for. We don’t refund part of a month except where the law requires it; if something went wrong with a charge, write to us. App Store refunds are Apple’s to grant. Deleting your account cancels a website subscription straight away, without a refund for the rest of that month, and doesn’t cancel an App Store one. A refund or chargeback ends Pro at once.
